I started out in the Australian mining industry. It is not a glamorous apprenticeship, but it teaches you to fix things under pressure and keep working when the conditions are against you. That turned out to be reasonable training for advertising on Meta.

When Australia closed during the pandemic I moved to Southeast Asia. I have been in Meta ads every day since, scaling my own ecommerce stores alongside the infrastructure other people run their campaigns on.

That second part is the reason any of this is worth reading. I am not writing about account bans from the outside. Everything on this site comes from accounts I have run, lost and replaced, and from the ones still spending this morning.
